Description

All of Canada is open to tourists, however a vaccine is required.
Alberta entered Stage 3 of the Open for Summer Plan on July 1. All public health measures have been lifted, except for isolation/quarantine requirements and some restrictions in health care settings and public transit.

Restrictions

All unvaccinated people age 12 and up will not be permitted to attend any private indoor social gatherings. Starting Sep 20th, unvaccinated people will no longer be allowed inside non-essential service such as restaurants, bars and cinemas. Mask use in public indoor settings is no longer required except when:
    • working in or visiting any continuing care facility, as well as any facility operated by AHS, Covenant or their contracted service providers
    • using public transit, including ride share vehicles, taxis, motor coaches and shuttles
All other public health measures were lifted July 1, including all restrictions on:
  • social gatherings – there are no longer capacity limits on either indoor or outdoor gatherings
  • recreation, performance and entertainment activities
  • business closures and capacity restrictions
  • large events, including concerts, sporting events, exhibitions and festivals
