California has been under a strict lockdown during most of the under Governor Gavin Newsom. Recently they have lifted the mask mandate for vaccinated citizens, however it is being reinforced in some counties.
On June 15, 2021, California’s mask mandate aligned with the CDC’s latest mask guidance for vaccinated individuals, allowing those who are vaccinated to forgo wearing a mask in most settings. But in the state’s most populous county, Los Angeles County, the mask mandate returned July 18, 2021, for everyone while indoors, regardless of vaccination status. California is fully open except for restrictions on large events (10,000 outdoors and 5,000 indoors)
Vaccine passports are now required to enter m0st places in San Francisco.
