Greece Mandates & Restrictions

Greece is open to tourists and quarantine is required unless vaccinated.

Tourists require to quarantine at hotel depending on the result of random health screening run upon arrival. Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, with the use of an approved vaccine, are exempt from pre-departure testing requirements. Travelers may provide their EU Digital Certificate in paper or digital format as proof of vaccination, negative test result, or previous recovery.

Under new restriction changes, tourists who aren’t vaccinated will only be able to enter indoor cinemas, theaters, museums, archaeological sites and gyms if they have a negative rapid test taken within¬† 48 hours. Places will also be able to refuse access to the unvaccinated if they wish to do so. Face masks are required in enclosed environments, and on public transportation. Restaurants are open with adapted measures in place such as social distancing. In ‘red’ areas, restaurants may open for outdoor dining only with seating limited to a maximum of 4 people per table, or 6 if belonging to the same family. Nightclubs remained closed.
