Guatemala Mandates & Restrictions

International travel to Guatemala is allowed, provided you have a negative PCR test or vaccine.

Requirements

Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, are exempt from testing requirements. The final dose must have been administered more than 14 days before departure. Proof of a negative PCR test or antigen test, taken within 72 hours prior to airline check-in, must be provided on arrival. Alternatively, those who have recovered from COVID-19 in the 3 months prior to travel are exempt from testing requirements.

Restrictions

Face masks are required in public places and public transport. Restaurants are open until 9 pm, with reduced capacity to allow for social distancing. The sale of alcohol is not allowed between the hours of 6 pm and 6 am. Bars and nightclubs are open until 9 pm, with reduced capacity to allow for social distancing. The sale of alcohol is not permitted between the hours of 6 pm and 6 am.
