Puerto Rico Mandates & Restrictions

Puerto Rico is open to tourists, a negative PCR or antigen test with 72 hours is required, regardless of vaccination status.


Vaccinations are required for both employees and guests of all hotels, paradores, guesthouses, and short-term rentals across the Island. Travelers must provide proof of a negative PCR or antigen test, taken within the previous 72 hours, on arrival. Travelers may instead provide documentation of having recovered from COVID-19.


Proof of vaccination is required for all patrons and employees of restaurants, food courts, bars, chinchorros, or any indoor location where food and beverages are prepared and served. All businesses will be closed from 12:00 am – 5:00 am except for emergencies. Mask usage will be mandatory in all closed places, as well as open places where there is an agglomeration of 50 people or more. Source
